They say today’s youth have gone to pot. But I don’t think so.

I am a regular drive-through patron of a local hamburger restaurant on Thompson Bridge Road. I only purchase a cola and usually give exact change.

This morning on my drive-through, the young man at the window advised that on a visit from last week, I had given him a large bill instead of the usual and had not realized it. He then handed me the dollars from that transaction.

It isn’t the money that got my attention, but the honesty of this youth. He could have pocketed those few dollars and the only person to know would have been himself.

All of the decisions we make affect who we are. Whether small or large. This young man is definitely on the right track.
