I would like to respond to the letter published May 8 by Ron Walker about teacher evaluations being an art rather than a science. I feel a teacher should be evaluated to better determine their performance and, more importantly, their pay. I believe to be qualified to respond as I have been employed by a large company for more than 35 years and have experience evaluating and being evaluated over that period of time.
