I would like to thank The Times for the article you ran concerning the Gainesville Lions Clubs Children's Theater in the Feb. 12 Good News section. It is our hope that the readers of The Times will answer the call and help us as we strive to serve our community.

Each month of the year, the Gainesville Lions Club approves applications for free eyeglasses for folks in our community who are unable to purchase them. Local schools, nonprofit organizations and individuals in our area benefit from service project donations made through the club.

It is the funds we raise through the Children's Theater that make these and many other local activities possible.

The Children's Theater is a fun family show that provides good entertainment and keeps the Gainesville Lions Club doing its work of service.
