Wyc Orr's article on the late Ed Jenkins was another plus. I will always remember a time when the congressman was about to vote on a very controversial measure. He called a press conference in Gainesville and said something like: I've given this measure a lot of study, and I want you to know that I'm not going to vote the way you want me to vote. I must vote what I believe is right.
He was re-elected again that year and the following years.
