The ethical and professional standards expected of the media as the eyes and ears to the world aren’t to be taken lightly, hence its premier placement in the Bill of Rights. I can recall my disappointment in the unapologetic political bias displayed by mainstream media as a naive and overly optimistic journalism student during the 2012 presidential election.
