Opinion: Members of left now using religion, but manipulation isn’t Christian

It is interesting how members of the left have begun to reference their religious beliefs in the political arena. It appears to be their "hail Mary pass" to try to win voters whom they perceive as being influenced by their religion when deciding for whom to vote.

Speaker Pelosi is one example of this and so is Carmen Allen, whose letter appeared in The Times

In this very well-written letter, Allen claims to have voted for Trump. I do not believe it. What is missing from Pelosi's Christian beliefs, and I believe in Allen's, is the fact that manipulation and misrepresentation are not part of a Christian system of values.
