The fight over voter identification just won’t go away. Last week, the Supreme Court ruled in a 7-2 vote that states can’t demand proof of citizenship from people registering to vote in federal elections without federal or court approval. The ruling says prospective voters may continue to use a federal form affirming their U.S. citizenship that does not demand proof in the form of other documents.
