I am writing to express my appreciation for the balanced presentation The Times presented of the opposing viewpoints involved on this topic.

The Times' editorial opinion was expressed without attack or name-calling of those who may have an opposing view. Dr. Tom Smiley and Dr. Terry Walton were also both allowed to express opposite views on the subject.

It was stated that the U.S. Constitution, and particularly the First Amendment, protects our religious liberties. I hope the courts will uphold this as well. However, I fear this is sometimes not the case.
