Letter: Pols weighing in on headband ban are posturing for votes
Placeholder Image

I am highly disappointed in Doug Collins and Casey Cagle. They say they are outraged about the cross country runner in Forsyth County who was disqualified for having a Bible verse on his headband. There is no rule against writing on a headband. Runners have done this before.

The GHSA states that all though there is no rule; meet officials have the final say. In other words, they can discriminate as they see fit. People have no idea that they are not associated with any government agency. I believe that Cagle and Collins feigned outrage is political posturing for the voters.
