Every time I see one of those buses, I know it is costing us money. Why not subsidise the local taxi services? Let them handle all of the maintenance, employee expenses, etc.? That way a local business makes the money and some driver supports his or her family and pays taxes. Local businesses have enough to be concerned with.

This way, we also have door-to-door services without needing to call 48 hours ahead of time.

The federal government does not have money; we have money and too much of it goes to them any way.
