Letter: Government schools will always want more of our tax dollars
Placeholder Image

I read with interest the moanings of the school board regarding senior tax exemptions. How sad; these socialists just can’t get enough of our money. A much fairer and better way to handle exemptions would be to exempt anyone who has never had a child in government schools. Though I have never been wealthy I raised my children in Christian school, K through college degrees. It was a good decision. It is legal larceny to tax me for the schools that other people choose.

By the way, Henry County senior exemption starts at the age of 65. Get government schools out of my pocket.
