Many folks throughout the community thank the sports team’s coverage of the Heisman Memorial Trophy, including the lead-up stories, presentation and supporting editorial.

The historical references to Billy Lothridge’s nomination in 1963 added much value for readers.

Of course, we are proud of Deshaun Watson, not only for his athletic abilities but for his demeanor, humility and candor. His red suit for a national television audience confirmed his allegiance and pride in his hometown of Gainesville.
