North Georgians were so inundated with ads about the special 6th District House race in metro Atlanta that a number of people in Hall County even tried to vote, apparently thinking such a high-profile race must be for statewide office. The contest between Republican winner Karen Handel and Democrat Jon Ossoff to replace Tom Price, now secretary of Health and Human Services, was the most expensive in U.S. House history. Much of that money flowed into nonstop ads that were in your face even if you had no dog in that fight.
