About 150 educators participated in the Teachers Appreciation and Prayer Service at First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville on Sunday. The service for teachers, retired educators, preschool teachers and all who wanted to show their support is believed to be the first of its kind in the area and included a sermon from the Rev. Daniel Hagmaier, pastor of First Presbyterian. In addition to First Presbyterian, several other local churches were represented.
