The left, or inside, lane will be closed from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday while crews build the road's shoulder, replace guardrails and pave the slopes in the median.

Delays are expected in the work zone, the DOT said in a news release. The agency advises motorists to slow down in the construction area or to avoid the area entirely. Speed limits have been reduced and will be strictly enforced, the DOT said.
