‘All About You’ contest information

Although some women find the time in between family responsibilities and work duties to squeeze in a day of pampering, not all women are so lucky.
With so few working hours in the day and so many responsibilities on their plates, some women find it difficult to get in any "me" time.
Knowing how demanding life can be, WomenSource officials have added an "All About You — A Day of Beauty" contest to their annual Power of the Purse event.
Power of the Purse is the nonprofit's annual fundraiser that includes a fashion show, dinner, designer purse raffle and vendor marketplace.
"We know there are a lot of women in the community that are involved with work and volunteering. They're doing things for their churches and children, but they don't take time to pamper their self," said Robyn Lynch, WomenSource programming committee chairwoman.
"If she's selected as the winner of (the All About You contest), she'll receive a full day of pampering. She'll get a full makeover and the results will be revealed at Power of the Purse."
The makeover will include a facial, fitness evaluation, meeting with a life coach and a session with a fashion stylist. The winner will also get her hair and makeup done by professionals for their big reveal during the Sept. 15 event at the Chattahoochee Country Club in Gainesville.
"Individuals can nominate themselves or someone else they know," Lynch said.
"It can be a working mom, a stay-at-home mom or any woman in the community that you think is deserving."
To nominate a woman, individuals must complete a form and submit it by Sept. 2. The completed form must include a picture of the nominee and can be emailed, faxed or hand-delivered to the WomenSource office.
The winner of the contest must be available for a day of pampering on Sept. 15, prior to the 6 p.m. event.
Fundraisers like Power of the Purse allows WomenSource to host various community enrichment opportunities like the personal finance series and the monthly Brown Bag Lunches, Lynch said.
Tickets for the event are $50 per person. Table sponsorships are also available for $500 for a table of eight.
