A woman remained in critical condition Tuesday at Northeast Georgia Medical Center after she was thrown from the top of a moving vehicle.

James Randolph Reynolds, 53, of Gainesville, was charged with serious injury by motor vehicle and reckless driving, according to warrants. He was being held without bond in the Hall County Jail pending a bond hearing scheduled for 9 a.m. May 8. He also has a committal hearing at 9 a.m. May 15.

The incident occurred Saturday on Ga. 52 near Old Cornelia Highway in East Hall, according to warrants. Reynolds and the victim had a dispute, and he allegedly drove a vehicle while the victim was on top of his car, according to a statement from Lt. Scott Ware, spokesman for the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

Ware said Reynolds had driven approximately 150 feet when the woman was thrown off the top of the car.

The woman suffered multiple skull fractures, according to Ware.

The case remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
