The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident Monday afternoon in which a woman with a gunshot wound was found in a car. Gloria Acosta, who lives near the scene on Douglas Drive off Dawsonville Highway, said she found the injured woman, who was flown to an area hospital. Katy Scales, who also lives nearby, said the woman was still breathing when the helicopter left.
