A Gillsville woman is charged with identity theft and 67 counts of credit card fraud in connection with the theft of $13,000 in cash, goods and services.

Kathy Ann Cantrell, 41, was already in custody on charges of insurance fraud. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office reported that an investigation that wrapped up Tuesday showed Cantrell used someone else’s identity to obtain a credit card and then used that card over a period of two months.

Cantrell is being held at the Hall County Jail with a bond set at $340,000. She has a committal hearing set for 9 a.m. March 28 and has requested a court-appointed attorney.
