The famous jingle "Oh, I wish I were an Oscar Mayer wiener" will become something of a reality today when the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile gives kids the chance to meet a well-known incarnation of the famous hot dog and "become" wieners.
The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will be rolling into the Lake Lanier Islands Beach and WaterPark as part of its national tour to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Oscar Mayer Wiener Co.
The Wienermobile, which has been around since 1936, features the 27-foot-long hot dog that gave it its name.
In addition to meeting the drivers of the Wienermobile, known as "hot doggers," kids will be able to get their photos taken as Oscar Mayer Wieners themselves. They will be able to personalize their pictures online by adding hot dog ingredients such as relish, mustard, pickles and other condiments. The Wienermobile will make its stop from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. by the children’s Wiggle Waves pool. In addition, those who see the Wienermobile will receive a Wienerwhistle, which has been an Oscar Mayer tradition since 1951.
