A pedestrian suffered broken bones Thursday afternoon after being hit by a semitrailer on Atlanta Highway in the Chicopee Mill area, authorities said. About 3:30 p.m., passers-by reported a male pedestrian had jumped in front of a semitrailer, said Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Deputy Nicole Bailes. Cpl. Dallas Vanscoten of the Georgia State Patrol said Stephen Bray, 23, of Winterville was struck by the side of a southbound Peterbilt tractor-trailer and was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where he is under psychiatric treatment.
