Why you might see some funky-colored water coming from your faucet this week

People in some areas of downtown and midtown Gainesville may briefly see discolored water come out of the faucet Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday due to water main maintenance.

According to the city’s website, the streets affected are:

  • College Avenue

  • Grove Street

  • Simmons Street

  • Pine Street

  • Ridgewood Avenue

  • Bradford Street

  • Main Street

  • North Avenue

  • Maple Street

  • Industrial Blvd

  • Dyer Street

Wednesday, June 26 is the last day crews will be working on the water mains.
