A new traffic signal at Thurmon Tanner Parkway and H.F. Reed Industrial Parkway in South Hall will be tested Thursday, Aug. 8, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

The traffic light will have a flashing red light, meaning motorists must treat the intersection as a four-way stop, taking turns going through it.

The signal is set to begin operating fully on Aug. 13.

The light is part of Interstate 985’s new Exit 14, a $34 million project scheduled for completion Aug. 31. The interchange will connect Martin Road at Falcon Parkway/Ga. 13 on the east side of I-985 to H.F. Reed at Thurmon Tanner Parkway on the west side.
