West Bank Park to close to allow hunting

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will close a popular park on Lake Lanier for most of January to allow for waterfowl hunting. A news release from the corps said hunting will be conducted at West Bank Park between Jan. 1-26 in accordance with federal and state late-season regulations. Nearby parks will remain open to visitors, including Little Ridge Park and Gary Pirkle Park.
