Wells Fargo, Huddle House, Cricket Wireless coming to New Holland

The new location of Wells Fargo gets a pressure wash from Gary Smith Tuesday afternoon in New Holland. The bank will be closing its 340 Jesse Jewell Parkway location May 19, just ahead of opening this new location May 22.

A new Wells Fargo bank branch, a Huddle House and a Cricket Wireless all will open in the New Holland area of Gainesville in the coming months.

A Huddle House is scheduled to open on March 21 across from the Kroger shopping center in the same building as Sherwin-Williams, which is already open, and Cricket Wireless, which is shooting for a late March or early April opening.

And Chick-fil-A plans to break ground next week on a freestanding location between Taco Bell and AutoZone on the same side of the road as the Kroger Marketplace. Spokeswoman Renee Ginn has said Chick-fil-A is shooting for a July 27 opening.

A building to house the Wells Fargo and retail space is being built in front of the Kroger Marketplace, Gainesville officials have said.

It’s all part of a boom in new businesses in the New Holland area.

The branch will replace the company’s 340 Jesse Jewell Parkway office in Gainesville.

The New Holland Wells Fargo branch is set to open at 9 a.m. May 22, according to Jamee Lawson Nelson, assistant vice president and communications consultant for Wells Fargo.

The other branch will close at noon May 19.

Following the consolidation of the old branch into the new one, a Wells Fargo ATM will remain at the downtown Jesse Jewell Parkway location.

Nelson said the new Wells Fargo branch will have all the same services, including full-service safe deposit boxes, as its Browns Bridge Road and Thompson Bridge Road locations. Both of those branches will remain open.
