Woodmen of the World honored area veterans Sunday afternoon with a cookout, 21-gun salute and flag presentations. “This is a special occasion, honoring those who have served, those who continue to serve and to remember those who served and died for this great country,” said Pat Frappampina, North Georgia state manager for the nonprofit fraternal organization. Veterans, serving in wars from World War II to Afghanistan, fed on hot dogs and hamburgers at the Woodmen of the World Youth Camp off Grant Ford Road in northwest Hall County.
