Police say cases seem to be related

At least eight cars were damaged this weekend as they were parked in downtown Gainesville. The police said some of the cases are related as they were damaged in the same way and at the same time.
Multiple cars parked in downtown Gainesville over the weekend were damaged by an unidentified suspect, according to the Gainesville Police Department. Gainesville Police Sgt. Kevin Holbrook said roofs and hoods were primarily damaged, describing the destruction as “caved in.” Cost of the damage was valued up to $10,000 on one vehicle.
