Ninth District Opportunity Inc. and local volunteers will distribute USDA surplus food in Hall County at the Army Reserve Center at 570 Shallowford Road at 9 a.m. Aug. 19.

Food also will be distributed at Gainesville Action Ministries at 1 First St., Chicopee Village.

Food will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Families or individuals may pick up food from only one location, not both.

Any household in Hall County that has a gross income less than 130 percent of the poverty level is eligible for the program.
