UNG launches Upward Bound program at Johnson High to help students reach college

Saira Aguilar thought briefly about becoming a Marine one day. But that prospect scared her parents. So Aguilar, a 17-year-old senior at Johnson High School, now desires to join the thin blue line as a policewoman. “I tried to dial it down,” she said with a smile. “They’re still kind of against it.”
