UNG to cancel some classes for eclipse Monday

University of North Georgia officials have announced plans to cancel classes from noon to 4 p.m. Monday to give all members of the university community the chance to view the solar eclipse. Monday is the first day of classes for the fall semester on the university’s five campuses. Classes will be held as scheduled that morning and will resume at 4 p.m., according to a statement received from the university.
