No one was injured but two dogs died in a house fire this morning on Windy Hill Circle in Gainesville.

In a news release, Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said firefighters responded to the call from a neighbor at 10:30 a.m. and found the 1,500-square-foot home with smoke showing from the attic. No one was home and they were able to put out the fire quickly.

In checking the home, fire fighters found two dogs and attempted to resuscitate them, but were unsuccessful, Kimbrell said.

Kimbrell said the fire appears to be accidental. Damage to the house is estimated at $100,000, he said.
