The drivers of two cars were killed in an accident in Banks County about 6:30 a.m. Friday.

Dana Lefevre, 29, of Homer, was pronounced dead at the scene, and Harold Chambers, 17, of Commerce, died on the way to the hospital.

Chambers was driving a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria east on Ga. 51, and the car went into the west lane of the highway.

Chambers’ car hit a 1991 Ford F-150, driven by Lefevre.

Georgia State Patrol Cpl. J.S. Munger reported both cars went off the road onto the north shoulder and ended up facing south.
