OAKWOOD — Fernando and Sheila Sanchez are new to the Hall County area, but they believe transportation plans should include transit. A July 31 referendum on whether to add a 1 percent sales tax for transportation “is only about the construction of new roads or widening, but there is nothing here about public transportation, buses or anything like that,” Fernando Sanchez said. He made his point at a public meeting at Oakwood City Hall on Monday night on Hall County’s plans for the tax, if approved.
