A 10-member Gainesville transportation focus group is set to hold the first of four meetings tonight at the Fair Street Neighborhood Center. The group, which was created to provide public input on the city’s transportation master plan, also is set to meet May 2, June 20 and July 25. The meetings at the Fair Street Center, 715 Fair St., are open to the public, but they “aren’t really a public venue kind of thing, where the public can come in and (freely) comment,” said Gainesville traffic engineer Dee Taylor.
