A new tractor dealership plans to open Monday in a Gainesville building that used to be a car dealership.

Ag-Pro, which is a John Deere dealer, will be moving into a Browns Bridge Road building that was once part of Carriage Kia and before that was a Carriage Mitsubishi dealership.

Luke Clark, general manager of the Gainesville Ag-Pro location, said the Boston, Ga.-based company will be up to 47 locations by March.

Ag-Pro announced in December the acquisition of seven Snead Ag locations in Northwest Georgia and Alabama.

Clark said Ag-Pro chose the location along Browns Bridge Road because it’s a “high-traffic” area and it was already set up as a dealership.

He had been working as a salesman for the company in Bainbridge before taking over the new location in Hall County.

Clark said Ag-Pro will seek to provide strong customer service and make people feel welcome once they walk in the door.
