Dr. Tracie Brack will be recommended as the next principal of Friendship Elementary School.
She is the assistant principal at the school and will replace Berry Walton, who recently announced his retirement, effective at the end of the current school year.
Will Schofield, superintendent of the Hall County School District, will recommend Brack at the March 14 monthly work session.
She spent her first 12 years in education as an elementary classroom teacher in three different school districts — Forsyth, Gwinnett and Hall.
In 2010, she was named assistant principal at Sugar Hill Elementary. While serving there with Principal Beth Scarda, the school earned National Blue Ribbon Recognition in 2013.
Brack earned her doctorate degree in education leadership from Georgia State University in 2015. She earned her Bachelor of Science in education in 1998 from the University of Georgia.
She is a graduate of Central Gwinnett High School.
