Heavy thunderstorms are moving through North Georgia today, with Hall County and the rest of the region under a tornado watch until 3 p.m.
The National Weather Service has issued the watch for 25 counties, including Hall, Forsyth, Dawson, Gwinnett and Banks.
Storms are likely today before afternoon, with a second wave possible later in the day. Heavy rainfall is possible, and a flash flood watch remains in effect for the area through 2 a.m. Monday.
Heavy rain, high winds, hail and lightning are possible, creating conditions that could spawn tornadoes.
The chance of thunderstorms is expected to continue overnight into Monday before a clearing trend begins Tuesday.
