The National Weather Service held its annual tornado warning drill this morning as part of Georgia’s Severe Weather Awareness Week.

National Weather Service forecast offices serving Georgia transmitted a practice tornado warning using the routine weekly test. This warning was transmitted through NOAA Weather Radio.

The test warning was issued for all 159 counties of Georgia. Some models of the NOAA Weather Radio did not tone an alarm for the weekly test.

The practice warning period ended at 9:30 a.m.
