Steel is up at The Venue at Friendship Springs after the project got behind in October when a record 20 inches of rain fell in a 30-day period and another 16 inches came in by year’s end, according to the developer. “The rain just hammered us, so we are about a month behind,” said General Manager Jon Wayne, who added that he is pleased the building’s shell is up and the parking lot base and binder are in, which allowed crews to work while other contractors in the area were at a standstill because of wet soil conditions. “The guys have been out working most every day and are doing a fantastic job.”
