Part 2: McGarity discusses how to deal with the number of football players arrested in the off-season and he talks about his relationship with Florida Athletic Director Jeremy Foley.University of Georgia Athletic Director Greg McGarity said this morning that it's too early to be worried about the state of the UGA football program, despite the school's first 0-2 SEC record since 1993.
McGarity said that, as athletic director, he is continually evaluating the football program, as he does with the other sports programs at UGA.
"We've only played 25 percent of our season," McGarity said.
McGarity also said he would change the scheduling philosophy of his predecessor Damon Evans, which sent Georgia to Arizona State and Oklahoma State the past two years and will send the team to Colorado next week.
He said he prefers a scenario which give Georgia seven homes games most years, suggesting such a policy is good for fans and businesses in Athens.
McGarity made his comments during an interview on Wednesday edition of The Local Hour, which is co-hosted by Executive Editor Mitch Clarke and WDUN's Katie Highsmith.
