The Gainesville City Council appointed 10 residents to a transportation focus group that will give feedback as part of a study by the Gainesville-Hall Metropolitan Planning Organization. The council members created the group and voted on the participants at last week’s meeting. The city started looking for volunteers in February, but had a hard time drawing public interest.
