City Council to discuss tax rate

The Gainesville City Council is set to discuss a rollback of the tax rate for the city and city school system at its 9 a.m. Thursday work session.

The rollback means the city is remaining tax neutral, lowering the rate taxpayers must pay but still drawing the same revenue because of increasing property values.

The work session is held in Room 301 of the Administration Building at 300 Henry Ward Way, Gainesville.
