After a couple years of debate, Flowery Branch City Council looks poised to finally approve streetlight “special assessment” districts. The council is set to give its first OK Thursday night to new districts encompassing Newberry Point, Madison Creek and Portsmouth subdivisions. Newberry Point and Portsmouth residents would pay $30 per year.
