A 16-year-old female was hit by a vehicle while attempting to cross Atlanta Highway, Oakwood police officials said. The accident was minor, and she was not transferred to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, according to Oakwood police officials. Part of Atlanta Highway near the Blackshear Place library branch was closed around 6 p.m., but the road was reopened at 6:30 p.m.
