Members of the Gwinnett County Swiftwater Rescue Team plucked four men from a rock in the middle of the Chattahoochee River near Bowman’s Island in Buford on Saturday evening. Firefighters responded at 7 p.m. after a 911 call via a transfer from Forsyth County, according to Gwinnett County Fire Department spokesman Capt. Tommy Rutledge.
