Gwinnett County Police have arrested four people in Buford who they suspected as being members of the "Blood" gang.

The four were arrested earlier this month after a traffic stop on Thompson Mill Road near Pebble Brook Drive in Buford, according to Cpl. Illana T. Spellman.

Three handguns and marijuana were found when an officer searched the vehicle, according to Spellman. All four subjects denied being gang members.

Charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of marijuana were Brandone T. Kouamo, 18, of Dacula, Dewayne T. Wiltshire, 17, of Duluth, Stephen C. Cousins, 20, of Suwanee and a 16-year-old juvenile of Suwanee.

In addition, Kouamo and Cousins were charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The 16-year-old driver of the vehicle did not have a driver’s license, according to Spellman.

According to the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Web site, Kouamo was charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Kouamo and Cousins remained in the Gwinnett County Detention Center as of Friday night, according to the Web site. The juvenile has been returned to his parent’s custody, Spellman said.
