Four Gainesville schools went on lockdown Wednesday morning.Gainesville High School, Wood’s Mill High School, Centennial Arts Academy and Fair Street International Baccalaureate World School were shut down for nearly an hour and a half.Cpl. Kevin Holbrook with the Gainesville Police Department said police have three juveniles in custody in relation to a possible burglary at the old Hall County Parks and Leisure building at 1086 Rainey St., near the schools.About 9:30 a.m., Holbrook said police received a call about suspicious activity at the parks building. When officers arrived, they noticed a broken window and smoke, at which point the fire department was called.The Gainesville Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at the vacant building and found fire extinguishers had been used.Holbrook said firefighters saw two figures inside the building and contacted police who set up a perimeter around the facility, which borders the campus of the high school. Rainey Street also was closed.One suspect was apprehended without incident, said Holbrook.The other two suspects were eventually verbally coaxed out of the building and placed into police custody.
