Suspect wanted in armed robbery at Dollar General

An armed man told everyone to get on the ground Thursday night in a Gainesville Dollar General and demanded cash from the cashier, police said.

Gainesville Police are seeking information on an armed robbery just before 8 p.m. Thursday at the Browns Bridge Road Dollar General.

A man wearing all black and a face covering “entered the store armed with a handgun, demanded everyone to the ground and cash from the cashier,” according to police.

“The suspect fled the scene on foot,” Sgt. Kevin Holbrook wrote in a news release. “There were no injuries reported during the robbery.”
