Supreme Court upholds Winder womans murder sentence

The Georgia Supreme Court on Tuesday upheld the murder conviction of a Winder woman who killed her husband five years ago.

Diane Elaine Hogsed, who in March 2006 was convicted by a Barrow County Superior Court jury on various counts — murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony — was sentenced to life plus five years in prison by Judge David Motes.

The Supreme Court upheld the conviction and sentencing on Tuesday.
