Travis Rogers and wife Janice Rogers are a different breed of sports fan. Not only are they fans of the Lakeview Lions and the individual athletes, but also of the whole community.
"It’s not just dedication to athletics or community ... but a dedication to the big picture." Travis Rogers said.
This happens be what they are most enthusiastic about, seeing children develop the right way.
"They (the coaches) try to raise great human beings first, and then try to use athletics to teach all the lessons that come with being a responsible, contributing member of society," said Travis Rogers.
Both are also fans of the entire coaching staff.
"There are a lot of great coaches in Hall County, but I think we have the best coaches in Hall County. They truly care about the life lesson that they teach children" said Travis Rogers.
The Rogers are also big fans of Lakeview community.
"We’re there for the family atmosphere, I know all the kids that play sports," Janice Rogers said.
The family atmosphere at Lakeview becomes apparent when you talk with the Rogers.
When one of them isn’t at a game, other parents text them updates on their child’s performance, the couple said.
And whenever the Rogers talk about what they do to help the team, whether it be cheering or putting up signs, they always mention the other parents right there beside them doing the same.
Travis and Janice Rogers are definitely "big picture" superfans.
